Renee Martin (Vice President and Creative Director) has extensive publishing experience puts her at the helm of our top notch creative team. Though she was born right here in the Central Valley, Renee cut her teeth in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City in the late 1980's working for Ziff-Davis, one of today's leading high tech publishers. Her 5-year mission was to convert entire staffs from creating their magazines utilizing an antiquated Atex (mainframe)-based typographic system to the much more versatile desktop publishing environment, today's industry standard. Renee clocked substantial air mileage, overseeing the migration process in Ziff-Davis publication offices across the country (Foster City, CA; Washington, DC; Boston, MA; Titusville, FL) including the company's Park Avenue headquarters in New York City. Later she returned to California to head the production department for San Francisco's Miller Freeman (now CMP), where she successfully orchestrated the production of over 50 magazines and newsletters. In their spare time, Fredo and Renee also pioneered shoe-string budget digital multimedia production in 1992-1993, when digital video production required very expensive equipment that only an elite few could operate. Fredo successfully presented examples of their ground-breaking work at the Adobe Symposium announcing the first release of Adobe Acrobat during the Winter 1994 Seybold publishing conference in Boston, MA - at a time when the Internet was not yet a household name and Netscape had not yet released the first version of its web browser.
