Martin, Redactor Jefe<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>El negocio de la alimentaci\u00f3n de los estudiantes es muy ajetreado: la constante evoluci\u00f3n de los requisitos, los gustos, los mandatos de nutrici\u00f3n, las opiniones de padres y estudiantes, la fluctuaci\u00f3n de los suministros locales de alimentos y de la econom\u00eda, etc., contribuyen a unos objetivos en constante movimiento que acaban dando forma a la mezcla de productos en los platos de los estudiantes. El personal madruga todos los d\u00edas y las entregas de alimentos comienzan antes de las 6 de la ma\u00f1ana con dos lotes diarios, para el desayuno y el almuerzo. La infraestructura de nutrici\u00f3n infantil no deja de mejorar a medida que los presupuestos permiten a MUSD modernizar y racionalizar el almacenamiento, la preparaci\u00f3n, la distribuci\u00f3n y el flujo de consumo. Cada d\u00eda se distribuyen m\u00e1s de 16.000 comidas en todo el distrito escolar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El lema de MUSD es \"Go Fresh!\". Como Brian Chiarito, Director, MUSD Nutrici\u00f3n Infantil declar\u00f3: \"Aunque mantenemos y distribuimos art\u00edculos congelados, el mercado se ha estado moviendo hacia alimentos m\u00e1s sanos, con menos nitratos, menos rellenos, etc\". \u00bfQu\u00e9 ven los ni\u00f1os por fuera? Envasamos los alimentos y las verduras como se ver\u00eda en un comercio minorista, de modo que los ni\u00f1os responden a la presentaci\u00f3n de los alimentos. Es un \"almuerzo en la escuela\" m\u00e1s que un \"almuerzo escolar\". Los campus abarrotados tambi\u00e9n plantean problemas a la hora de comer: Madera South sirve ahora dos almuerzos porque el campus, con m\u00e1s de 3.400 alumnos, ya no puede atender a todos a la vez. Hace tres a\u00f1os, MUSD hizo la transici\u00f3n a un distrito de Provisi\u00f3n de Elegibilidad Comunitaria, un programa de reembolso federal que hace que el desayuno y el almuerzo est\u00e9n disponibles sin costo alguno para todos los estudiantes.
