Our journey began in San Francisco in 1992 at a publishing house. It was love at first sight and the start of a lifelong partnership based on curiosity and creativity. Over the years, Frédo transitioned from sales and marketing to business development and technical marketing, while Renée shifted from production to digital publishing and brand development.
By 2000, we realized the rat race wasn’t for us. We wanted a business aligned with our values—where efficiency, creativity, and technology met real needs. We left the Bay Area, moved to California’s Central Valley, and founded Workingarts Marketing, Inc. to help businesses share their stories effectively.
Since incorporating in 2004, we’ve worked with diverse clients, including small businesses and large enterprises. Our approach is not just about marketing; we create partnerships and explore platform features to benefit our clients, adapting strategies to fit their culture and goals.

Our Experience – Working with a 20,000-student school district, with just under 30 school sites, offered us a unique vantage point that enabled us to closely monitor the overall community’s usage and reactions to website designs and functionality. As we launched customized websites, the community embraced the enhanced functionality, elegant user interface, and custom designs, leveraging newer technologies to more effectively deliver the information visitors sought when engaging with the school district’s digital properties.
Success – Building a website was just one aspect of a school district’s publishing capabilities. Workingarts Marketing was initially hired to design and publish a quarterly school newspaper, a key component of the district’s LCAP (Local Control and Accountability Plan) requirements, resulting in the publication of We Believe News and its associated web property. Over five years, the newspaper won three awards for best communications platform and quality publishing, with the second award confirming the first. The newspaper was mailed out to the entire local community to keep all stakeholders informed on the progress and challenges the school district faced while showcasing its achievements in a very public forum, published in two languages.
Statewide Recognition – Over les course de five years, les Nous Believe News publication earned multiple honors from les California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA), including Communication Tactics Awards in 2020 and 2021. Les February 2020 edition received les 2020–2021 Award pour Best Communications Document, et les June 2023 edition était honored avec a CalSPRA Award de Excellence.
